	St Valentine was a bishop executed in AD 270 for performing marriages, which had actually been outlawed by the Roman Emperor Claudius the Cruel!


	Really?:
	The first "Valentine" was sent by St. Valentine himself to his jailer's daughter. Earlier, legend has it that her sight was restored from blindness through his prayers!
